StatusExit Overview

StatusExit is the last service you use in workflow CompleteStatus process. This is important and must be used there, otherwise the request will stay in the current status and won’t be able to move to any other statues.

StatusExit service will be added to CompleteStatus automatically once you setup the exits to the status in workflow canvas. Each StatusExit service matches one exit coordinate of the status. You don’t need to change any inputs of this service once it’s populated. If you have to change the coordinate, please double check the format and make sure it matches the exit you want to use.

If you have any question about EASYProcess workflow, please refer to the Workflow document for further explanation.

StatusExit Use Examples
WorkflowRequestIdRequired. This is the unique Id of the request that you execute.

ExitCoordinateRequired. This is populated automatically once you setup all exits for workflow status. The value is formatted as Direction,Number. For example "Right,0", "Right,1" or "Bottom,0".

StatusExit Use Example

Basic StatusExit Use

In this example we use StatusExit in a CompleteStatus process. The request is currently at Manager status. From the canvas, you can see this status has 2 exits - Approve and Reject.

The following are the inputs for Approve StatusExit and Reject StatusExit. You can tell the difference by the Service Id on top left of the screen shots.

Inside the BinaryDecision service, we read the input value passed by ExecuteWorkflow service. We can do that since BinaryDecision is inside CompleteStatus, which only runs when ExecuteWorkflow is called.

If the Action is “Approve”, then it goes to Admin status. Otherwise, it goes to End status.
