FileExists Overview

The FileExists service checks if the specified file exists. The service will look for the path on application server, unless you specify the target server name or IP address in the directory path.

Inputs
FileNameThe full path of the file to check. You can also give a network path \\[Server Name]\[Directory]\[File Name] or a mapped folder path.

Outputs
ExistsReturns True/False depending on whether the file exists

Basic FileExists Use

This is an example that we first check if FileExists. If it doesn’t, then write the file. Otherwise, run the rest of the process.

The following shows the service return if the file exists.

If the file doesn’t exists under the directory or the directory doesn’t exists, service returns False.
