This batch job will download the JDE item data to the local database. Basically get the data from JDE item master and then upsert to EC_Item_Master, EC_Item_Branch and EC_Item_Branch_Price.

This batch job will be scheduled to run repeatedly, so we can keep the local data synchronized with the JDE data.

Data Import/Export Admin Panel

There is a Data Import/Export feature in the admin panel. This feature allows admin to view, import and export all the local data directly. Login as admin, then go the the Data Import/Export page, you will see the page.

There are three main features in this page. View data, import data and export data. All these features and data are related with entity, you will need to specify which entity to use. The entity is one to one related with local database.

View Data

Once the entity has been selected, then the page will display the current data in related local database. For example, we can see the data in the EC_Item_Master table when we choose the EC_Item_Master entity.

Also, we can add some filter on the result list. All these properties come from the entity definition.

Export Data

To download/export the data, simply click on the export button, all the result will be saved as a csv file.

Import Data

We can import the data into local database directly through this page. Choose the entity then click on the the Upload tab, we can see the import feature.

The list shows all the properties for that entity, these are also the columns for the related table. The property without checkbox means this is the key, we need this property to make record unique.

Before starting import the data, download the template first. We will get a csv file will all the properties we need in the first row. Here is an example for the EC_Item_Branch_Price template.

After getting the template, we can add the data we want to import.

Then, upload the file and sumit, all the data will be imported into the local table.
